The History tab is where the Risk side panel keeps the long view. Every cycle the Risk has been through is listed here as a tile, with the latest cycle on top, and each tile carries both the cycle's summary and the activity log of every change made during that cycle.

Step 1: Open the History tab

In the side panel, click History. You'll see the Risk History header with a counter showing how many cycles exist, and an Export button on the right.

Step 2: Read a cycle tile (collapsed view)

Each cycle is a tile, with the latest on top and the current cycle marked (Current). The collapsed view shows:

  • Cycle # with the (Current) label if applicable.

  • The Inherent score (Impact × Likelihood and total).

  • The Residual score (Impact × Likelihood and total).

  • The Response strategy chosen for that cycle.

Click anywhere on the tile to expand it.

Step 3: Expand a cycle for details

Expanding a cycle reveals more context:

  • Appetite in effect during the cycle.

  • Start Date the cycle began.

  • Movement — an arrow showing whether the Risk's score moved up, down, or held steady from the previous cycle.

  • Assessment Completion Date — when the assessment for the cycle was finished.

  • Owner for the cycle.

Below those fields you'll find the Activities log.

Step 4: Read the Activities log

The Activities section is the diary of everything that happened on the Risk Activities tab during that cycle. Entries are grouped by date and time, and each entry tells you who made the change and what they did.

You'll see entries for:

  • Score changes — Inherent and Residual scores set or updated, and Target changes.

  • Response changes — strategy chosen, response step completed.

  • Mitigation changes — Controls or Documents linked or unlinked.

  • Action task changes — tasks added, updated, completed.

  • Step events — steps completing, being edited, or being bypassed.

Step 5: Export the Risk History

The Export button at the top right of the Risk History tab downloads a full report. The export uses the same template as the Risk page > Overview > Risk History, with one extra section: an Activities section under each cycle.
